After months of rehearsals, over a hundred Egglescliffe students took to the stage at ARC with a stunning production of Les Miserables.

With vocal performances that were described by ARC staff as "worthy of the West End", there wasn't a dry eye in the audience.

One of ARC's front of house ushers commented that it was the best show they'd seen in the whole time they'd worked there.

Head of Music, Mr Haworth, said, "I think the most enjoyable thing was at the end of every performance, everybody in the audience and the students and the staff we all knew it had been a terrific success and because of the amount of work that everyone had put in, I think that moment when you knew it had been very successful and rewarded everybody for their hard work... I think that was the most enjoyable moment, definitely."

He added, "I think the thing that I liked most about Les Mis was that we managed to have students in Year 7 all the way to students in Year 13 and everybody contributed, everybody acted professionally, everybody came together to make it a success, every single person in the whole cast, which is really unusual in a school and there was nearly a hundred students on stage which was amazing. I think only at Egglescliffe School could you put on a show like that."
